Yet Another BWIA Deployment - Navini Networks In Virginia

NTELOS will deploy a Navini Networks' Ripwave BWIA system in the Charlottesville, Virginia area, with a planned expansion to Lynchburg, Virginia. Speeds are claimed to be "up to" 1.5 Mbps download, "up to" 550 Kbps upload with range "up to" 8 miles. They'll be using 2.5 - 2.7 GHz ITFS/MMDS spectrum. More details in the Navini press release.

    From 2008 - 2015, I took a hiatus from writing about BWIA, but my interest in BWIA did not wane. From 2016 - 2020 I worked to resume writing full time.
