Adaptix claims its technology to have "highly efficient control over all of the radio system domains, including frequency, time, space, modulation, power and coding." The lengthy press release implies, but doesn't state, that this degree of control is dynamic, not static as is typical for such systems. Conspicuously absent, given Adaptix' prominent mention of mobility, is any mention of the use of "smart antenna" technology.
Worth mentioning is that Adaptix is headquartered in Bothell, Washington, and while it is a new company with new funding, it has origins in two predecessor companies that developed solid BWIA technology - Vectrad Networks and Broadstorm, before the WiMAX hypestorm dimmed the prospects for proprietary BWIA technology.
